Micro-Needling

Automatic Micro-Needling, (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in skin care for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars, and improvement of the skins texture, tone and color. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with softer wrinkles. The ECLIPSE MICROPEN ELITE™, the second generation MICROPEN, also creates micro-channels, which allow topical gels, creams, and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing their effects in deeper layers of the skin.

This revolutionary procedure aids in the reduction of wrinkles, improves texture, tone, and softer, younger looking skin with fewer signs of aging.  New collagen production reduces years of sun damage.  The ECLIPSE MICROPEN ELITE™ also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as treating uneven skin tone, acne scars, traumatic scars, and stretch marks.

The ECLIPSE MICROPEN ELITE™ can be used on all parts of the body: face, neck, decollete, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and back.

A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro-needles is attached to the ECLIPSE MICROPEN ELITE™.  A thin layer of topical anesthetic crème is applied to the skin.  In a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.

The feeling associated with The ECLIPSE MICROPEN ELITE™ is similar to sandpaper being moved across the skin.  While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating needle tip makes the treatment comfortable.

Immediately after the treatment, the skin will appear red like a mild sunburn.

Immediately, the treated skin will reflect a healthy glow. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks.  Results continue to improve up to six months after the treatment as collagen production continues.

For best results, it is recommended to receive two to three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. In more severe cases with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks, or acne scars it is recommended to receive six to eight treatments at six week intervals.

This treatment is contraindicated for those with blood related conditions, anemia auto-immune disorders or bone cancers. Those taking blood thinning medication or non steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDS) medication.
